Glaciers in Conversation: Sports, Science, Advocacy

Join us for a discussion on the intersections between sports, science, and environmental advocacy during Zurich’s first ever Climate Week!

Meet Professor Anthony Pratt, climate justice activist Emiliana Rickenmann Montes, and Olympic snowboarder Sina Candrian for an interactive conversation. The evening will begin with a panel discussion moderated by Pamela EA, co-founder of Climate Words and Protect Our Winters Creativity Alliance Member, followed by group conversations with the guest speakers.

Glaciers are a visible sign of rising temperatures. There are approximately 1,400 glaciers in Switzerland alone, representing 1,400 reasons to act. To many of us, glaciers are distant and not represented in our immediate surroundings or daily decisions. So, how are they connected to our lives, our policies, and our sports, and why are they worth talking about in 2026?

Join us to spark new conversations and find your reasons to act!
